Uplands Primary School

Tuesday 5th - Friday 8th November

Hope you all had a great half term!

This week we have enjoyed maths. The year 4 children compared angles and ordered them from smallest to largest. The year 3 children learnt about right angles in turns, three quarter turns and whole turns.

In English we identified different word families and in guided reading we read a poem called Firework Night by Enid Blyton and answered some questions about the poem.

On Thursday, we walked into Stroud to see Joseph Coelho at the book festival. We enjoyed listening to him and loved his poetry. He's inspired lots of children to write their own poems.

In art with Mrs Walker, we practiced sewing onto hessian. It was a little tricky but we all persevered.

Have a great weekend from Mabel and Shay.
