At Uplands, we focus all of our writing under four main headings: Writing to Entertain, Writing to Inform, Writing to Persuade and Writing to Discuss. We will be regularly adding to our Wonderful Writing Wall with lots of brilliant writing from across all four classes. We would welcome your positives comments about our writing so please feel free to let us know what you think!
Wonderful Writing from Owls Class. We have written newspaper reports about the Snail and Whale.
The children in Owls class wrote stories to entertain based on 'The Bog Baby' book by Jeanne Willis.
Brilliantly persuasive writing, Eleanor. Plastic is a very big problem for the environment and for many living creatures and we all need to make a big effort to do what we can to reduce it. Persuading those in authority to make changes is an excellent step, as it can effect even more change than your individual choices. Though individual choices are still essential, because many individual choices add up.
I am really happy and proud of Abbie's work. She really cares about what she does.
Your secret is out Isabelle - you CAN write neatly when you want to! Your writing is better than mine! Great initiative to stop laminating your classroom displays. I'm sure it must render both the plastic and the paper impossible to recycle. Keep up the pressure on Mr Lucas - he'll crack eventually! Also, I like your classroom address!
